Domestic Spying

Tal told me to Google Earth my old address. The planet rotated, then I zoomed through the atmosphere to a hovering position just above our old place on Longwood.

There was the minivan, parked in the driveway. There's my old garden hose and the baby pool. I think you can even see some of the straw that was spread around for the Maypole in the backyard.

This is the kind of software you can get lost in. Endless possibilities...

Fly or Float?

Willa recently asked me, "When you die, do you want to fly or float?"

I wasn't sure how to respond.

She explained, "Angels fly and ghosts float, so do you want to fly or float?"

I still struggled with an answer. I'd like to fly and float, but if I had to choose, I think I might like flying better. However, it does seem that ghosts have more fun, since they get to float around and scare people.

Then Willa went into a long monologue about how Peter Pan appears to fly but he's really just floating because of the fairy dust. She had some other examples, too.

I'm still undecided.

Mammoth

Two weeks ago Tal treated me to a weekend in Mammoth. It was the first time in over 17 years that I'd skied. We had a blast!

Based on the success of that venture, I returned the following weekend with Sarah and the girls. Here's a video of Willa and Talia learning to ski.
