My good friend Dave Diamond just bought a really cool pad in Atwater. It's got good bones, plenty of character and a great yard, so I'm very happy for him...and very envious. Meanwhile, we're still living in our tiny apartment. Last night as I brushed my teeth in the dark, I felt ants crawling up my arm.
